Alexis Navarro, LPC
Alexis (she/her) is a Licensed Professional Counselor committed to supporting individuals, couples, and families through life's most challenging moments. She offers a soft place to land for clients to navigate relationship issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, substance use, grief, and trauma recovery.
Alexis received her B.S. in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Georgia and an M.A. in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University. Her clients appreciate her warm, empathetic approach, and blend of dry humor and creativity. She believes trauma doesn’t have the last word and is passionate about helping clients reclaim their story. Alexis combines Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to help clients explore their inner parts and recover from trauma so they can truly thrive.
Alexis works primarily through an attachment-based lens, which recognizes the vital importance of healing through relational connection—both with ourselves and others. She is highly trained in Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) and is proud to be part of the training team for the Atlanta Community for Emotionally-Focused Therapy.
EFT is an evidence-based approach that helps clients repair relationships, identify conflict patterns, and heal emotional wounds, making it highly effective for both couples, individuals and families. Using EFT, Alexis facilitates corrective experiences that allow clients to strengthen their bond with the people who matter most to them. She would feel honored to walk alongside you and your loved ones as you move towards healing!
Alexis joined Restorative Counseling in 2022 and offers sessions in the Buckhead and Roswell offices, as well as virtually.
Outside of her work, she enjoys audiobooks, staying active, chatting with friends over a good meal, and cuddling with her rescue pit bull, “Chance the Napper.”
