Jahna Shiovitz, LPC
Jahna is a Licensed Professional Counselor specializing in addiction and long-term sobriety support along with anxiety, depression, relationship conflict, and low self-esteem. Jahna works with adults (ages 18+), couples, and families. Whether you're an individual seeking recovery, a couple navigating tough times, or a family in need of improved communication, Jahna will help you unravel and make sense of the patterns that keep you stuck with the goal of nurturing richer bonds in your relationships.
Jahna received her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University. It was during her internship at Talbott Recovery Dunwoody that she discovered her passion for guiding individuals through the challenges of substance use disorders and long-term sobriety maintenance.
Jahna fosters a welcoming and accepting environment where clients can feel at ease as they explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. She works to assist clients in understanding the “why” behind their behaviors and equips them with healthier coping strategies to embrace a life filled with purpose and fulfillment. She is passionate about and committed to empowering her clients to regain control of their lives and rebuild meaningful relationships.
Jahna draws from a blend of evidence-based therapies, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She also utilizes the Prepare and Enrich program to support couples in their journey toward stronger, more fulfilling relationships. She sees clients in the Buckhead and Roswell offices and via telehealth. Jahna also offers a weekly group that teaches DBT skills to adults.
