David Fisk, MA
David received his master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology. He also earned a Master of Divinity degree in 2010. David works with adults, couples, and adolescents.
David brings empathy, curiosity, and support to those struggling with the effects of trauma, depression, anxiety, chronic health issues, perfectionism, and church hurt. He also has significant experience working with athletic perfectionism. Above all, David counts it an honor to sit with folks that are hurting.
David uses psychodynamic therapy through the lens of development to best help his clients achieve their goals. He holds certificates in Narrative Focused Trauma Care and is also trained in story work, which is particularly helpful when addressing the effects of trauma. He also has had extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) which helps clients identify and understand their cycles of conflict and heal the emotional injuries that occur during those cycles. EFT is considered the gold standard in working with couples and is also highly effective when working with individuals.
David desires to create a safe, welcoming space for clients to feel comfortable sharing their lives. He works with adults, couples, and adolescents in the Restorative Buckhead office as well as via telehealth. He is supervised by Celia Webb, LPC, CPCS. In his free time, David enjoys sports, playing his guitar, and spending time with his wife and daughters.
